- Plan and implement engaging lesson plans that support cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
- Facilitate activities such as arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, and outdoor play.
- Foster a positive classroom culture where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and development.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families about milestones and growth.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching program.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by following established policies and procedures.
- Stay informed on best practices and current trends in early childhood education.
- Passion for early childhood education and supporting children’s development.
- Previous experience in a childcare or preschool setting preferred.
- CDA, Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity, flexibility, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to build nurturing and responsive relationships with children and families.
- Required certifications (or willingness to obtain and maintain):
- Pediatric First Aid & CPR
- Food Handlers
- Safe Sleep
- Reporting Abuse and Neglect
- Introduction to Child Care Health & Safety
- Foundations for Learning
- Pediatric First Aid & CPR
- Must be enrolled in the Central Background Registry.
